Tools Needed:
needle nose pliers, set of metric socket wrenches, wire strippers,
wire crimp tool, wire cutter, electrical tape

1. With hood open, remove the 4 lowest clips on the under hood cover. This can be a bit tricky. Take a close look at the clips. You'll see three notches. One of these notches is exactly 90 degrees to the two tabs that you need to pinch to release the clip. Use a thin pair of needle nose pliers. Try not to force them off as it can make it more difficult to remove. Take your time as excessive force can damage the under hood cover. And be careful not to try to turn the clips while lifting one of the flat large tabs as it can cause one of the other tabs to cut into the under hood cover. Remove the clip holding the washer line to the hood. This takes some twisting, wiggling, and a little bit of forcing.

2. Once you have the 4 clips removed, you will be able to lift the lower half of the cover and access the nozzles. The first thing you need to do is to disconnect the washer line. A little twisting helps to break the seal so you can remove it. If it's on too tight, use a set of pliers. Be gentle as too much force can tear the rubber connector or the rubber line.

3. Next you will need to remove the nozzles. Use a flat head screwdriver. There is a tab on the bottom and top (front and rear) of the nozzle. Do one at a time. It's easiest if you hold the nozzle from the top of the hood and pull slightly as you press down the tab with a flat had from under the hood. Once you have one end out, the other is fairly simple. Again, take your time so you don't damage anything.

4. Install the Nozzle Lights. You will find included in the nozzle light package, two nozzle lights, two flat washers, two spring washers, two nuts, and at least two spacers (plastic). Unravel the wires for the nozzle lights. With certain nozzle lights, you may find two rubber seals. On most sets, they are already on the nozzles. If they are separate, place one seal under each nozzle, making sure you run the wire through the hole in the middle of the seal. Place one nozzle in each hole for the nozzle on the hood, and pull the wire through the hole. Make sure the LED's are facing forward. Using one spacer, flat washer, spring washer and nut for each nozzle (in that order), tighten down the nozzle. The nipple on the nozzle is threaded. Take care to point the open end of the spacer towards the wiring as the wiring needs to go through this open section. If you don't, the lights may not work. Do not over tighten. The nozzles are plastic and can break. I recommend tightening it so it is just snug. This will allow you to make adjustments. Make sure the tab on the spacer is facing up. Reconnect the rubber washer lines.

5. Once the nozzle lights are on, route the wiring for the nozzle towards the driver's side of the hood. It's easiest to follow the rubber washer lines. You can hold them in place by tucking the wires into the clips that hold the rubber washer lines under the hood.

6. Open the CruiserMotorSports Nozzle Light Wiring kit. You will need the wires. Inside the front left wheel arch remove the three 7mm screws holding the front fender liner on. You only need to allow access to the fog light. Run the wire from inside the engine compartment. There are a couple of holes next to the air box (there is actually a pipe from the air box that routes to one of these holes). Carefully run the wire down this hole. You should see it come out underneath, inside of the front fender liner. It may take you a couple of tries as it can get caught on something on the way down. It won't need to go far before you can reach it from underneath.

7. On the bottom end of the wire, separate the two wires about 4-5 inches up. Remove the harness from the fog lamp bulb. You will find two tabs on the back of the bulb that you just need to lift up (towards the back of the car) and pull down on the harness to remove. There is no need to remove the entire bulb and it is recommended that you do not as oils from your hand can cause the bulb to burn out quickly if you make direct contact with the bulb. Use the Splice connectors provided in the installation kit to splice the wires into your front left fog lamp wiring harness. Run the red wire to the blue wire on the car and the black to the black. If you reverse this by mistake, make sure you switch it on top as LED's (light emitting diodes) only allow a current in one direction and will not work if the polarity is reversed. If you have used Splice connectors before, move onto step 8. Splice connectors do not require any of the wire insulation be removed. Inside the connector, there are two channels. One for each wire. The one on the inside has a block on one end. Place the wire that terminates into this channel making sure it is butted up against the blockage. The fog lamp wire should go through the open channel. Holding both wires carefully in place, use a pair of pliers and squeeze the metal piece down into the connector. It will cut through the insulation and make contact with the wires. Then fold the tab that hangs out around and snap it in place to secure the connection.

8. Plug the fog lamp harness back into the bulb.

9. Inside the Engine Compartment, use the wiring loom to cover the wiring from where it comes up through the fender well to the top of the wire. The wire will need to be run up to the hood. The cleanest way to do this is to actually wrap the loom around the washer line starting right where the open hood sensor is on the driver's side rear of the engine compartment. Keep the seam facing the rear of the car for the best look. If done correctly, you will have between 2-4 inches of loom left when you reach the top of the washer line where it clips to the hood. To secure the loom and wire, use electrical tape on each end of the loom where it is wrapped around the washer line.

10. You should have some wire left on the end of the loom. Separate the two strands about 3-4 inches. Strip the wires, removing about 1/4 inch of the insulation on each wire. Crimp one butt connector on each wire. Take the wiring from the nozzles and cut them so that there is enough wire left so you can connect them to the wiring that is attached to the fog lamp. Leave some extra so it will be easier to work with and in case you mess up. Strip the wires of about 1/4 inch of insulation. It may be difficult to find a wire stripper that has a small enough opening. An easy solution is to use a razor blade and gently cut the insulation around the wire about 1/4 inch up and then remove the insulation by pulling it off. Put the two red wires from the nozzle lights together and crimp them into the open end of the butt connector, matching up the colors. Repeat this with the black wire.

11. Test the system by turning on the fog lights. Make sure both lights are working. If they are, move on to step 12. If not, check the connections. If both are not working, make sure your bright headlights are off. Make sure the fog lamps are on. If they are still both not working or only one light, then check the connection at the fog lamp and where the nozzle light wires are connected to the installation kit wire. If only one light is working, check to make sure you are not pinching the wire between the spacer and the hood at the nozzle that is not working.

12. If everything is working, Make sure the nozzles are pointing straight and are even. Reinstall all the clips for the under hood cover and the screws for the fender liner.
