Borla Mopar Performance PT Cruiser Dual 2.25" Pipe Exhaust System

Mopar Performance Exhaust by Borla is built of aircraft-quality T-304 stainless steel -- stainless inside and out, not mild steel, not aluminum, not coated aluminum, not just wrapped with stainless on the outside for show. Coating techniques, such as aluminizing, can somewhat prolong the life of mild steel, but coatings suffer at the weld points. And, comparing aluminized steel to T-304 stainless steel is like comparing gold-plated metal to solid gold! T-304 stainless steel has the highest chromium content, making it the most resistant to corrosion and therefore the most desirable material for a long-lasting exhaust system. Note: Only the flanges are not stainless. In our twenty-year experience, we have found the 3/8"--1/2" flanges are so thick they will never affect the performance or longevity of the system.

These 2.25" dual exhaust systems are made from rust free T-304 stainless steel and mandrel bent for a precision fit to your PT Cruiser. Includes mounting hardware and 2 chrome tips!

Offered in two configurations:

The standard (moderate) noise level system has a deep, throaty rumble and is our most popular system. Not so loud the neighbors will complain (nor your passengers), but loud enough to give that high performance sound of a dual exhaust system.

The low noise level system is barely louder than the factory exhaust system, yet does provide a low pitch, deep throaty rumble that will give your Cruiser the hint of a high performance car.

Performance levels and high flow characteristics are the same for each system.

How much horsepower can I expect to gain: An engine is an air pump, and BORLA's exhaust system allows the engine to pump and flow more uninterrupted air. The actual horsepower increase depends upon the fuel management system's ability to provide the right amount of fuel to match the extra air flow; 5 to 15% increases are not uncommon

Will I get better gas mileage: Yes, a better performing engine uses less fuel more efficiently, increasing fuel economy under normal cruising conditions. BORLA’s patented flow through design and proper diameter mandrel bent tubing evacuate the exhaust gases out the system much faster and at a much greater temperature than factory exhaust. This results in performance gains in HP when you plant your foot and fuel economy at cruising speeds. And, the bigger the vehicle, the bigger the engine, the bigger the load, the bigger the savings in fuel.

Will it void my factory warranty: NO. Some cars even have BORLA systems as the OEM exhaust. All of our street Cat-Backs™, Rear Sections and Mufflers are 50-state emissions legal. In fact, it is illegal for a dealer to deny you the OE warranty because you have changed the exhaust system.

Will I need to re-program my ignition control computer:
No re-programing of your computer is necessary. You can expect the computer to adjust to the change over a period of approximately 300-400 miles of operation. After that time, the full benefits of the system will be realized. Even though ECU upgrades are not required with a Borla exhaust systems, the added exhaust performance will aid the performance of an ECU upgrade.
