The Ultimate Radiator Cap
Safer for you, safer for your engine No matter what you drive, it's nice to know how hot you are When you know the coolant temperature, you can avoid getting burned. for example, if ThermoCap's meter indicates 235°, then it's better to leave the radiator cap in place. This is a great way to conserve your skin. Run cool water over the radiator, and leave the engine running. If ThermoCap's meter indicates 155°, you could probably remove the cap to check the coolant level with reasonable safety. Safer for your engine Water is normally used to transfer heat from the engine to the radiator, where air, passing through the radiator, can take the heat away. The hottest parts of a running engine are the cylinder heads and upper cylinders (at around 500° f). Water has a high heat capacity, and is ideal when used as a coolant. However, if the water boils (converts from a liquid state to a gas state), the water's ability to cool the engine is greatly diminished. The goal of keeping the engine cool, involves preventing the water from boiling. We do this with extra pressure. This will work and fit on the Turbo and Non Turbo models. This new item is really a show stopper and attention getter.

Both these new parts are made from copper and then chrome plated for a lasting appearance. The AC check valve chrome caps have a small vent hole in the center of the top. They simply slip over the existing black plastic caps.
In the same area where the AC lines connect normally you see the black studs with nuts on the ends. We made two small copper covers that were then chrome plated to cover these two exposed studs.
Both of these parts are visible in the above photo. Both are sold in sets of 2.
